How often do we stop and really feel the moment? How often is it even possible, with the busy life around us, phones beeping with notifications, children asking for this and that, dinner that needs to be cooked, email that needs to be answered, laundry that needs to be folded... Yet, there are moments and feelings that matter so much, that they shape and mould us, who we are and what we are. First smiles of your baby. Getting settled in a new home, and making it a home, not just a house with walls and furniture and random accessories. Wiggly little bodies of your children, how they both fit in your lap. All the sweet things...

that happen in the kitchen. Cookies, cakes, fingers in the batter and chocolate. Everything gets tasted, and eventually eaten. Sometimes it includes the poor plate, or a bowl, or a random piece of table. Especially if you are the one stuck with baby biscuits and porridge, and no cake.   Ok, here comes the cake. It was mentioned here some days ago. And the cake maker. The cake maker was very good and patient with changing light and camera settings. The cake, chocolaty and fruity with nice sour note of raspberries, softness of ricotta and creamy chocolate ganache. And it is all gone :-) P.S. All the sweets mentioned in this post, have been successfully eaten. The bowl and the table are still there.

Botanical Garden

I was not planning to photograph today. I've counted yesterday, there are 16 sessions I have to edit. But it was a lovely sunny day, which was a major point because I've started recently experimenting with direction of light in my photos, and I need sun for it. So I was looking for a nice place where I could take some pictures and have sun behind the children. We ended up in Botanical Garden after school. The good point, I found this place. The bad point, we were too late, the sun was behind the trees already. Another bad point, these children run away and always in different directions, and never listen, and I had nothing to bribe them with (Matteo at least :-). Another bad point, the battery in the camera was dying. So all the major disaster factors present and accounted for :-) And then I come home and upload the photos and whoa. I am the only one who knows how dirty her knees are on the picture at the top :-)

A new beginning

It's spring, everything is coming back to life. It's time of new beginnings. So it will be also a new beginning for this blog. I will be posting my favourites from my customers' sessions, and also some of my personal work. So you can get a better idea what a family, or baby, or newborn session with me would be like.
