No War

Hello. It's been a while, and this is not how I envisaged my return to social media. The world is just not the same since Feb 24th. A planned short break while we were moving and settling in had to be stretched and extended to deal with all the challenges, which now seem so petty and insignificant. And almost every day I think, it's horrible and we've seen it all already, we just need to learn to live with it and carry on somehow, and Ukraine will win - then comes another horrendous piece of news, another blow that steals your breath away, another unthinkable evil. It hurts to see all this destruction, evil and death. I don't want to see Russian tanks in my home town. I don't want to see more people die. No War. Peace for Ukraine.

Photo a day - May

Published on 8th of June 2021     This collection is mostly from May - as it takes some time to go through the photos, sort and organise them, and do some editing. Everything outside is green, blooms and grows, and waking barefoot on fresh grass feels so good after winter. Mara too grew some cheeks and rolls, she keeps giggling and trying to ooo and aaa back to her siblings. Evenings get longer, our walks get longer too. Mara has quite flexible schedule, and is happy to sleep in the baby bag if we are outside. We are completely done with pumping, still we check her weight regularly to be sure she is growing well. Soon we can try giving her other foods, a big milestone. I am sad we are already almost there, time goes by way too fast. I'd like for things to slow down, knowing that Mara is our last baby. Clothes that get small, bonnets I finally figured out how to do after multiple trial and error, new expressions and new moves she masters almost every day now. She also has disc...

More Blooms!

My free photo collection of flowers has been updated with 15 new photos I took during past weeks. Some I missed - like the gorgeous blue hyacinths in my own garden. Daffodils remain a mystery, no matter how many times I photograph them, I am not happy with results. Hope you will find your favourites here - and let me know if you'd like a particular bloom or colour, I'll do my best to add them to this collection. They can be used in any way you'd like. A screensaver on the pho ne, a wallpaper on computer screen or cover for your facebook profile are just some of the possibilities. They can also be printed if you'd like. In search of snow / Family Photographer in St.Andrews

We did not have much snow this winter. We usually do not get much snow here at all, which may be surprising considering how far up north we are. But the truth is, winters in St Andrews are mild. We wanted some snow adventure and real winter experience, even as a short break. This desire took us to Glenshee. It was beginning of March, but we were lucky to find some snow patches, good enough for sledges. And small snowman. And snowballs. And of course snow lollipops. Result - some hours of driving and a bit getting lost, even with navigator - or despite :-) Couple of children who got car sick. Fair amount of fighting over how three children share two sledges. Couple hours of fun on the slopes. Five pairs of soaked shoes and socks. And this true sportswoman, who bravely pulled sledge up the slope for the next ride. All on her own. Autumn and Christmas mini sessions - outdoor family photos in St Andrews

Beach fun / Family photographer in St-Andrews

Beach is fun all year around. And we had the cutest little explorer. We went to Maiden rock beach for this family session, just a short walk from East Sands. And we had lots of rocks to explore, shells to collect and sand to play, and driftwood tree to climb. This girl and her flyaway hair!  Here are some more of my favourites from this session.
